How to spend five days in Niseko

Updated: Mar 19, 2022

We just love our visits to Japan and have been travelling there for close to 20 years now. The snow wasn't at it's peak this year, but we still managed to find some nice powder stashes. This was the first time we had stayed at Yorokobi Lodge in Niseko, which was magnificent, with views across the golf course, which of course was covered in snow. We took many morning and evening walks along the snow trodden golf links and watched some of the snow mobiles zoom past our back windows. With such a short trip, we only managed to snowboard in Niseko and Kiroro this year - mainly due to snow quality. One of our favourite places to snowboard is Rusutsu. Whilst staying in Niseko, you can never pass up a day trip to Otaru and sample the fine cruisine. This trip also included a snow mobile tour - so much fun zooming through the open and tree laden fields.
